Your reunion committee has completed plans for our 50th. We are hoping for the best reunion yet! Here is what you need to know:
Date and Time: Sat., Sept. 10, 2011 - 2 p.m. - dark
Place: Pheasant Run Airport, 5782 Trask Road, Madison OH 44057
Cost: $11.00 per person. We are making the food commitment based on getting your check, and I have to go to the food service company on Sept. 1. Therefore, I'm asking that you GET YOUR CHECK INTO THE MAIL BY AUG. 25.
Mail check to: Gretchen Reed, 5782 Trask Road, Madison OH 44057. Please include the name of anyone attending with you for use in making name tags.
Food: will include a variety of meats and cheeses, salads, breads, cookies. There will be pop, iced tea, and wonderful well water in a cooler. The pop selection will be Coke, Diet Coke, 7-up, and Diet 7-up. IF YOU WISH SOMETHING ELSE TO DRINK, PLEASE BRING WHATEVER YOU DESIRE. I'd also like to suggest that it would be nice if those of you who live locally bring a dessert or covered dish to add variety to our day. Picnic plates and plasticware will be here.
Directions: The airport/aviation museum is only about 18 miles from the old Mentor High School.
Coming from the west: Take Rte. 90 east to Vrooman Road exit. Go right onto Vrooman and go about l/2 mile and turn left onto Carter. You'll go about 2 miles to a stop sign; turn left onto Paine, which morphs into Blair and winds around a lot. You'll come to a fork that goes straight and right; go right onto Ford. Go 8/10 of a mile and turn right onto Trask. Go another 8/10 of a mile until you see the hangars and windsock on the right.
Coming from the south: Take Rte. 44 north to Rte. 90 east and follow the directions as above.
Coming from the east: Take Rte. 90 to the Madison exit; turn left onto Rte. 528. Go about 3 miles and turn right onto Ford Road. Go about 2 1/2 miles and turn left onto Trask (small cemetery on the corner). Go 8/10 of a mile on the right.
